In case you were wondering why I haven't been scooped up yet, well, I guess I can be a little on the shy side but I do warm up quickly once I find out, usually through my own judgment, whether the other per is genuine or just a big phoney. I can never really seem to initiate anything with anyone I am the least bit interested in and this has most definitely kept me from at least making new friends. But when I do come out my shell boy am I a hoot. I'ot. I'm talking laugh riot, but seriously I am pretty laid back, very easy to get along with and one heck of a nice guy. I work as a project manager/carpenter for one of the top five high end home buliders in Georgia and I come from a family of cooks, so I like to think of it as, I can build your dream home and then cook you dinner in it as well. I like to travel and attend music festivals of al types. I like camping, hiking and cycling. In fact most weekends, weather permitting you can find me cruising thru downtown on my bike. The longest distance that I have accomplished would be 68 miles with right at 60 pounds of camping gear strapped to my back. From Stone Mountain to Fairburn on a single speed, fixed gear with no brakes. As I was typing that last part out I can see now why my friends and family were a little concerned. One of the things on the old bucket list is to through hike the Appalachian trail. Just an FYI on where I see myself in the future I guess. I like vinyl over digital. I like the beach but I love the mountains. If you catch me listening to the radio it's more than likely it's college radio or N.P.R. and if you see me watching TV chances are that it's a comedy or a documentary of some sort. I like to either learn something or just totally escape reality with something completely mindless. My guilty pleasure would probably be cartoons. I am a of the Saturday morning cartoons after all. It stands to rea that it would carry over into adulthood, right? As a hobby I like to blow glass. Making beads, pendants and such. Really, I like to do just about anything that one would consider creative. My dream would be to have my own shop were I could bring in other artist and craftsman, such as a potters, blacksmiths, painters really just anyone that would care to collaborate. The goal would be to make unique furniture and functional art. The crazy thing is, I would very much like to share all of these things with someone but I am to awkward to do anything about it. My friends tell me that I'm not bad looking and don't really understand why I have this problem. I think what it is, is that what's going on in my head before I even talk, I am afraid that she already has it in her head that all I want is sex and I don't know how convince (that feels like the wrong word) her that this is not the case. But I mean sure, I can't pretend that someone that I find attractive and could potentially see myself having a relationship with, sex isn't going to come up at some point but the journey to that point is usually a lot more interesting than the two minutes of sheer bliss that I am capable of. But seriously folks, it's late, I'm rambling and probably shouldn't leave this up but it's all true and sometimes the truth hurts and sometimes it feels real good. Wow! Look at you. You made it all the way through that mess, good job. And chances are that if I've viewed your profile then I find you pleasing to the eye but am to shy to make the first contact. In the immortal words of the great Harvey Fierstein, "I just want to be loved, is that so wrong?" . Reassure, that's it. That's the word I was looking for earlier. Yeah, that's what I would put if this were a regular dating site and its all true. But I also like to feel good and I like to watch other people feel good. I can get down in almost any scene. Lover is what makes me shy not sex. And sex is not love but it feels really good too. If you've made it this far you're a champ because that's a wall of funding text right there buddy.
