i know my male cousins have gone to a salon like this... but they didn't take my brother.... i think they would be horrified if i asked in the family chat! to be honest i tip Asian staff more. i know some of them might have higher educations but due to language barriers can't get better jobs. like at my Korean Spa. why did the grandmas giving full body scrubs have to wear bra and panties? why couldn't they be in a bathing suit? so for a body scrub i usually tip 40-50% CASH let's talk food. take out - 20% Asian take out - 25% but sometimes they hand me the food and there is a line and i loose track of the tip! i tip to make up for that next time i am in line! today we had lunch at a well known local restaurant. i tipped 30% and rounded up. i always tip CASH. unless i'm in a pinch on my cash. which i try not to be. i also tip on the total bill including the tax. for holidays i bring 100.00-200.00 cash on me. our typical holiday meal out is about 200.00 w/out alcoholic drinks. we don't usually drink. there is usually a gratuity factored in our bill. if the service was top notch i am leaving the 200.00 if it was pretty good i am leaving the 100.00 if it was kinda meh but i recognized they just gave up their holiday... likely a 50.00 we once did a holiday meal for 300.00 where they botched our table reservation. the GM said he wasn't charging us but please tip the staff. i left i think 200.00. be generous when you tip. these are not jobs getting top dollar w/out the tip. plus there is just the entire... is this a job i want to do? i don't want to cook and clean. i am going to tip well for that!
